Large-scale farmer survey on legumes

Legume Gap Survey

The LegumeGap survey with farmers from nine EU countries is up and running. More than 800 responses have been collected, informing us on the reasons for yield gaps of major legume crops. Spread the link to our survey!

We want to know about farmers experience and interest in growing grain legumes for food and feed. By understanding what farmers know and how they currently manage their crops, we can identify ways to help farmers achieve higher and more stable legume yields, leading to more profitable protein production for farms and for Europe as a whole.

Our survey is translated in nine European languages. We are already counting more than 800 responses from farmers. But we are aiming for more. Our target groups are:

  • legume growers with different levels of experience with growing legumes
  • farmers potentially interested in growing legumes in the future

Help us spread our survey in your farmer networks.
